Oyetola, Oyebamiji Using Tinubu’s Name for Anti-People Acts - Adeleke Reveals

Approves permanent appointment for long-serving UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital casual workers

Governor Ademola Adeleke has accused the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, and Osun APC governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, of allegedly using the name of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to carry out actions he described as anti-people in the state.

The Governor made the allegation on Monday during a visit to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, where he addressed workers and patients, linking the opposition figures to the ongoing local government crisis in the state.

“They plotted against our government. Their goal is to stop Osun development,” Adeleke said, insisting that his administration has continued to deliver despite the challenges.

He further claimed that the duo invoked the President’s name to justify actions not authorized at the federal level, including the alleged hijacking of state funds.

Amid the political exchanges, the Governor announced the conversion of long-serving casual workers at the hospital into permanent staff, a move that sparked jubilation among employees, many of whom had spent over a decade in temporary roles.

The leadership of the hospital’s labour movement, led by Olamide Faniran, commended the decision and pledged support for the Governor’s re-election bid.

The development was disclosed in a statement signed by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
