The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected South-West Zonal Executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), following the successful congress held at the Emeritus Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday evening, Alhaji Akinleye described the congress as a clear demonstration of internal democracy, party maturity, and the readiness of the South-West PDP to reposition itself as a formidable political force.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to the newly elected South-West Zonal Executives of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Barr. Kamarudeen Ajisafe (Kosolowoe). Your emergence at the recently concluded zonal congress in Ibadan is a testament to the strength of our internal democracy, the resilience of our party structures, and the collective resolve of our leaders and delegates to reposition the PDP as a dominant force in the South-West.
“This successful congress is not just an electoral exercise—it is a bold step toward renewed unity, strategic rebuilding, and purposeful leadership within the region. I urge the new executives to embrace inclusivity, foster cohesion, and work assiduously to deepen the party’s grassroots engagement and strengthen its electoral appeal across all six states in the zone.
